UKRAINIAN-POLISH CENTRE FOR MANAGEMENT, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INVESTMENT DEVELOPMENT

Polish heritage in Dnipro and the region

Alfred Nobel University (Ukraine) and Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland) with the support of the National Agency for Academic Exchanges (Poland) implement the project "Promotion of the Polish language in Ukraine" in 2020-2021, a programme intended to improve the skills of Polish language teachers and lecturers in Ukraine.

35 Polish language teachers and lecturers from Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Vinnytsia and other cities are taking part in the advanced training programme. Programme takes place online and includes classes, workshops and seminars of leading experts from Adam Mickiewicz University and Alfred Nobel University. 

During the project, with the participation of Valeriia Lavrenko, Deputy Director of the Dmytro Yavornytsky National Historical Museum of Dnipro, the programme "Main Theme" was recorded on Nobel TV devoted to Polish heritage in Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region.

In the TV programme, Valeria Lavrenko shared with the audience interesting facts about the life of Poles in the city and region.

The TV programme talks about the famous Kodak Fortress, the churches of Dnipro and Kamianske cities, the history of the armor of the Polish hussar, which is one of the unique exhibits of the Historical Museum, as well as liberation battles, resettlement and Polish communities.
